How do you read thousands and millions?

Start with one helpful trick

Start on the left and pause at each comma. The number 12,345 splits into 12 and 345, so it is twelve thousand three hundred forty-five. With two commas, the first group uses the word million.

Circle each comma. Read one group at a time, then say thousand or million after the group.
